Margaret Tonner, 70, Tableview:

At the age of 70, Margaret still leads a very active lifestyle, travels extensively and has a young attitude that belies her years.  She has had extensive surgery on her head and this has resulted in some damage to the skin on her forehead.

Margaret was keen to find a softer look, especially as she is forced to keep her hairstyle short. Georgina used concealer and a liquid base to soften lines and cover age spots, as well as some redness around the nose area.

“I’ve been married for almost 50 years and when my husband saw me, his face just lit up,” said Margaret. “He told me I looked like a million dollars! Georgina managed to make me look 10 years younger which is no mean feat at my age.”

Dianne Tonner, 48, Parklands:

Dianne is a no-fuss sort of person who likes to wear make-up but wants to keep the look fairly natural and the effort minimal. She works in a banking environment and therefore has extensive dealings with the public.

Dianne has good skin with minimal lines although she does have some fine red veins on the cheek area of her face. Georgina used a primer and mineral powder base to even out Dianne’s skin tone; and eyeshadow in shades of peach and aubergine to bring out the gorgeous blue of her eyes.

“By the time Georgina had finished my make-over, my skin was glowing! Everyone at the office has commented on my new, softer look, “ commented Dianne. “ I feel so much more confident now that I know which colours suit me and how to apply make-up in a way that highlights the good bits and disguises the not-so-good bits.”

Tracy Derbyshire, 45, Tableview:

Tracy designs and makes gym wear for a living and her lifestyle reflects her work. She is a keen runner and cyclist, and enjoys hiking and loves being outdoors. She doesn’t really wear make- up except for a slick of lip gloss and black kohl eyeliner.

Tracy wanted a very natural look that she could achieve in the shortest possible time.Being exposed to the outdoors has left Tracy with some sun damage to her skin and fine lines around the eyes and cheeks.

Georgina used a green-based concealer to cover the redness, a mineral powder base to even out the skin and bronzer to emphasise Tracy’s gorgeous bone structure.

"I wasn’t convinced that make-up would even suit me so I asked Georgina to make up one half of my face and leave the other half bare so that I could compare. What a difference! Sun spots, lines etc just seemed to disappear. I have now learned a 10-minute, natural make-up look that I can wear for every day and look and feel so much better. She gave me great advice on my hair colour and style too and I have subsequently had a restyle.” – Tracy.
