Happy To Meet You! New You Image Consulting, is based in Cape Town. Formerly an award winning journalist, owner Georgina Hatch held several senior positions in the publishing and communications industry before forming the company.“Having attended hundreds of industry events that included business meetings, product launches, presentations and seminars, I became a keen observer of other people’s social interactions and how they handled these. I was fascinated to realize that the most successful people were the ones who had a polished personal image and obviously felt good about themselves. They radiated a self- confidence and positive energy that drew others to them. You could almost hear the crackle of their charisma!” says Georgina. “Conversely, I became aware that the opposite was also true. Those who were overlooked for promotion and let other people dominate them were the ones who could obviously have done with a bit of a spruce up! They looked less than professional and they obviously did not have much self confidence so their interaction with others was hesitant and apathetic. “I drew the same comparisons between people who had lots of friends and were generally successful in their personal relationships and those who tended to be loners and shy of emotional involvement. The same conclusions were evident. Those people whose personal appearance and self confidence meant increased popularity naturally attracted friends and admirers; whilst those who had a poor physical appearance and low self esteem had fewer friends and less success in their personal relationships. And I’m not talking about beauty vs ugliness because really there is no such concept. Anyone, regardless of their physical features, can be attractive and self confident”. Having identified that someone’s Personal Image can impact on so many other areas of their life, Georgina trained as an Image Consultant with the renowned Colourworks International organization. She is also affiliated to the South African Image and Style Academy and conducts training courses for Image Consultants and Fashion Stylists. Apart from offering Personal and Professional Image Consultations, Georgina is a popular public speaker and also runs workshops and seminars on Personal Branding and Corporate Image, Style and Presentation. |
